RVSSLL – ALRIGHT, GOODNIGHT (JACKEL REMIX)

With no shortage of artists hailing from the United States, Washington D.C. based Nu Disco producer RVSSLL joins the ranks with a rather special production that he crafted out with fellow American DJ and Los Angeles based producer JackEL. Titled ‘Alright, Goodbye’, the track – released first as a single on JackEL’s FVYDID – forms part of the LA based producer’s Remix EP’s second volume. As things were then, this track marked the first effort when the two talented producers put their heads together to deliver a sumptuous track. Since the release of ‘Alright, Goodbye’, the pairing has ventured together to deliver equally impressive singles such as ‘Tech House Rewind‘ and ‘Be Me‘ featuring ZaZa Maree.

An impressive first production for two producers who ply their trade behind desks, sat at each end of their country, ‘Alright, Goodbye’ is a track seeped in the Nu Disco tradition of production. Kicking off with shuffle-worthy beat-work, the track grows on the listener with the advent of a calculated melodic injection of tropical notes and Daft Punk-esque employment of vocoder. Swirling notes, enjoyable vibes and a vocal snippet that gets lodged in the listener’s mind, ‘Alright, Goodnight’ is a wonderful single from the two American producers. If this was a blueprint for what more is in store – and we’ve already seen some of that in their latest collaborations, then it looks likely that a pairing of RVSSLL and JackEL can be a worthy one.
